Admissions
The academy is a local school serving the local community. There will be no selection by ability, specialism, gender or religion. Children with a statement of special educational needs naming the academy will be admitted. If the academy is oversubscribed, priority will be given to children in public care, children with exceptional medical/ social need, siblings, children living within a defined geographical area, children living outside the defined geographical area. Full details of the academy’s admissions policy and oversubscription criteria will be published annually.
Admissions to the academy will be co-ordinated by Oldham Local Authority. Parents/carers will use Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council’s Preference Form to apply for a place. A free booklet setting out the admission arrangements for all secondary schools/academies in Oldham is available from:

Charging Policy
We do not charge any fees for your child’s education. We may ask for a voluntary contribution for educational visits or activities but no student will be excluded on the grounds that they have not paid a contribution. If items made in school are to be taken home afterwards, we may ask for a contribution towards the cost of these items eg. food technology ingredients.
