National Student Art Exhibition

The Oldham Academy North art students have achieved a major accolade in the arts world. 3 Year 11 pupils from The Oldham Academy North have had their end of year art work selected for the National Students' Art Exhibition. Budding artists, Mohammed Abdul Kadir, Wajiha Ali and Fayzur Eny Nahar were selected by a panel of experts at The Dover Federation for the Arts.

Their work will be displayed at Mall Galleries, London and the three students have been invited to attend a prestigious opening next Tuesday 12^th July. Their art teacher, Mrs Elaine Cooke was “thrilled with the announcement” and was proudly looking forward to seeing the students’ work in London.

This is the ninth year of the National Students’ Art Exhibition and it showcase features the best young artists in the country exhibiting alongside work from some of our finest professional artists. A truly inspirational exhibition celebrating gifted and talented students from schools, colleges and academies.

The National Students' Art Exhibition is organised under the Patronage of the Royal Society of British Artists and Lord Bichard (Chairman of the Design Council) will officially open the exhibition.

The exhibition runs from Tue 12 - Sat 16 July 2011.
