Primary Pupils Create Julian Opie Inspired Portraits

Pupils from Richmond and St Hilda’s primary schools have been portraying themselves through paint and 3D media in as little detail as possible. They have been influenced by the artist Julian Opie and his portraiture. They have characterised their faces by painting black outlines with flat areas of colour and minimal detail, to the extent that an eye can become just the black circle of the pupil.
