KS3 Curriculum Details

The English Department has an inclusive curriculum which seeks to challenge and nurture students. With a strong and clearly defined ethos, our aim is to enable all learners to thrive and excel. Taught by a dedicated team of English specialists, the curriculum is constantly updated and shaped to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the subject. Students study a curriculum which places equal emphasis on reading, writing and speaking and listening.

KS4 Curriculum Details

At Key Stage 4, all students study English at GCSE with the opportunity to also study English Literature. These are assessed through a combination of external examinations and Controlled Assessments. Individual units are tailored to suit students of all abilities and to help all to achieve their full potential.
